GCL-Poly First-year Included as a Constituent Stock of “Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Benchmark Index”
GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited (“GCL-Poly”, Stock code: 3800.HK) , a subsidiary of GCL, is pleased to announce that the Company has been included as a constituent stock of the “Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Benchmark Index”, which will be effective on 4 September. The inclusion in the index is a recognition of the Company’s excellent performance in the aspect of sustainable development.
This year, 95 listed companies in Hong Kong have been included as constituent stocks of the “Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Benchmark Index” and GCL-Poly is one of the 12 newly-added companies. The selection criteria are highly stringent. Under the sustainability assessment, each eligible company not only has to meet the requirements on both market capitalization and turnover velocity, but also is measured against seven core areas, including organizational governance, human right, labor practices, environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, and community involvement and development. Only the top 20% of the eligible companies with the highest sustainability performance are selected as constituents.
